Four hundred and eighty square feet, a king size bed under a deep green headboard, curtains that run to the floor, and a window that fills with light before anyone else on the property is awake. Thoughtfully appointed for a restful mountain stay, and priced so that a long one stays possible.
The floors are heated and so is the bathroom, and breakfast at O‑Shum comes with the room. Twelve years of building Timilo are in the fabric of the place — the reclaimed Indian Mahogany, salvaged after the 1950 Siang Valley earthquake, that now carries the main staircase; the Malaysian cane that became the restaurant's furniture; the touch of machines kept to a minimum throughout.
