A gem in Tawang!!

“Hats off to team Timilo for the high hospitality standard set by them in Tawang. Arguably the best stay experience one can have in Tawang. Luxuriously upholstered with all amenities and most importantly well heated for Tawang weather — floor heated bathrooms are a boon.”

Good to know

Everything you need
to know before you arrive.

You will find us in the picturesque village of Timilo, below the revered Tawang Monastery — Changprong, above Choepelling Public School, Tawang 790104. We are about 3 km from the main town, on a ridge with the valley falling away on three sides. A car is recommended, and we are glad to arrange transport for you.

Yes. Breakfast is included with every room, served at O-Shum as the sun comes up over the valley. Our chefs are happy to prepare Jain, local and vegetarian dishes, and will gladly cook to order beyond the menu.

Experience the ultimate comfort and warmth of heated rooms, heated bathroom floors and warm beds, with a hot water bottle tucked in at turndown. Oxygen support is available on request, and at 10,000 ft we gently suggest taking your first day slowly.

With pleasure. Our travel desk arranges everything — transport, permits where they are needed, and experienced local guides who know these passes intimately. Bum La permits take a day to file, so do tell us early. See Timilo Day Activities for the full collection.

Travel with peace of mind by booking in advance through our Reserve My Stay form, writing to reservation@timiloboutique.com, or calling +91 85329 58233. Our cancellation & refunds policy sets out the details.

Warm layers, and a few more than you might expect. We have kept televisions out of the rooms so that the quiet and the view remain the main event, so do bring something to read. The market is a short drive away, so carry any favourite snacks with you.
